Who We Are

Ryota Udagawa is President and Chief Executive Office at Deciphera Pharmaceuticals. He joined Ono Pharmaceuticals in 2002 and has held a wide range of leadership positions at Ono Pharma over the last 20 years. In 2009, Ryota was transferred to Ono Pharma USA, based in New Jersey to build relationships among the U.S. biotech/pharma companies. During his time at Ono, he has led licensing deals with more than 30 companies, ranging from domestic and international startups to multinational corporations, contributing significantly to Ono's global expansion. Ryota holds an M.S. in Biological Sciences from Tokyo Institute of Technology.
